“A sorrow shared is but half a trouble, a joy that’s shared is a joy made double.”

This saying is cross-stitched and hanging in my kitchen in a prominent location for a reason. Because it is true. My life has definitely had some low points in which I was literally carried along by the love of friends and the grace of God. That is when sorrow was shared and made easier to bear.

Today, October 28, 2015, I am going to focus on “a joy that’s shared is a joy made double” part of the delicately cross-stitched letters.

Over the past month, the amount of love, support, and happiness that has been showered upon The Outdoorsman and me by our friends has been beyond human comprehension. The joy in my heart is so real that I find myself basking in it all day long.  It is sustaining me right now in the middle…
